A burst of fragrance
These pieces all started from one idea. One afternoon I was visiting the Dublin Mountains when I looked around me, and what I saw made me sad. I noticed the non-indigenous pine plantations, that had made the soil acidic. I noticed the large ugly telephone masts that had been erected on top of the mountains.
I began to think like the mountain. What if the mountain was sick of this treatment? What if the mountain had enough, and got up and left? How would the inhabitants of the city below react?
These images are a playful look at what might happen. I am currently working on this idea as a children’s picture book, so watch this space!
